Inspired by: Bangalow

If ever I want to get away for the weekend, one of my favourite spots close to home is Bangalow, a pretty little villiage just outside of Byron Bay. The drive to Bangalow itself is beautiful and involves expansive views of the Byron coastline contrasted with rolling green hills of the countryside. Bangalow is a picturesque, 19th century style town buzzing with creative artists & eclectic decor. The sloping main street is filled with beautiful old buildings, alfresco dining, art galleries & antiques. Bangalow has such a relaxed, creative vibe that leaves you totally inspired… it’s the perfect place to spend the weekend with your partner or friends.

I spent last weekend in Bangalow with a friend drinking amazing coffee, indulging in organic food & shopping up a storm for The LANE Event Styling. By the end of the day my head was buzzing with ideas for earthy, bohemian weddings filled with an eclectic mix of handmade decor. Here are some pics…

I also picked up this cute little guide to eco-friendly weddings called The Natural Wedding Book, filled with creative DIY ideas, tips for buying vintage dresses & chic eco-friendly venue options.

And lucky for us, the local Bangalow markets were on where I found some beautiful vintage fabrics, organic soaps & handmade candles for a shoot…
